JewelEye

Eye surgeons in the Netherlands have started a new jewelry trend: an implant in the eye called a “JewelEye.” In this procedure, a .13 inch piece of material is inserted into the sclera of the eye. The patient can choose the shape of their jewelry, ranging from a heart to a music note.

If you fear commitment too much to go with the permanent “JewelEye” implant, Eric Klarenbeek has something that might be a better fit for you. Klarenbeek has designed a series of Eye Jewelry contact lenses with something resembling fishing line attached to the bottom to allow tiny objects to dangle below.
