Trends in eyewear get
their start each year with a trip down the runway.
The sunglasses on the
runway this summer all started off oversized and were then molded to fit each
collection. Prada’s
2010 Summer Women’s Wear collection featured thick transparent plastic frames
in pink, green, and clear with matching tint squared lenses. Some of the frames
even had an almost cat-eye flair to them. Gucci showed
a similar look with squared gradient lenses and plastic frames featuring a very
slight cat-eye look.
In the Versace collection,
the sunglasses had dark squared lenses and a pink bar on top that ran the
length of the frame.
The Giorgio Armani collection had more styles of sunglasses featured, showing black
and white plastic frames that left gradient lenses rimless on the sides.
Another look featured classic round gradient lenses with thinner temples than
what is typically seen with that style.
